PHOTOSHOP ILLUSTRATOR INDESIGN PREMIERE
When I was 14 I had to go to my middle school library once or twice a week. One day in the library I was super bored. I needed something to occupy myself with. So I went on the computer in the library. I wanted to see if I could edit photos and make fun of celebrities in funny ways. I came across a website called Pizap.com. It was a free photo editor and I started learning how to put clip art on top of logos.
In 2012 the NBA Finals were coming around. There were certain NBA fan groups I was a part of. I saw some people posting about the game. I then came up with a concept to make a game day ad for fans. The Miami Heat were taking on the Oklahoma City Thunder in the 2012 NBA Finals and I made a photo of the game. Fans loved what I did! I then decided to keep practicing and learning to put cool game day pics together.
In the fall of 2012 I started up a North Carolina Tar Heel fan page called Tar Heel Nation so I could practice making game day art and give score updates during football and basketball games. This page has been the first for any sports fan page, to come up with the concept of making a game day cover photo, you make a facebook cover photo of the next upcoming game so fans know what the team plays next. In 2013 I wanted to really become a fan of an NBA team. Living in North Carolina the only NBA team we have had was the Charlotte Bobcats. In my opinion, marketing was not good. Most NBA fans where I lived were either Heat, Celtics, Knicks, or Laker fans. The only Charlotte Bobcat fan pages that existed were to make fun of the franchise. So I decided to change that, challenge my marketing skills as the time and I created Charlotte Bobcats Nation! Charlotte Bobcats Nation had customizable game day cover photos. Today it is Charlotte Hornets Nation.
